After eleven overnights along the way, we arrived in Hannibal today. Both of us feel like “Road Warriors”. We are worn out and happy to be “Home” for a while.
We arrived a bit before 1:00 PM and were set up by 2:00. Jennifer and the Grandkids drove in as soon as school was out today. Needless to say, hugs were exchanged for a few minutes as we marveled at how much those grandkids have grown.
It had been more than six months since we have been with them and they seem to be growing up so fast. Colby and I played catch with his football and during the rest periods (More for me than for Colby) visited with Jennifer and Lauren.
Lydia at the Cave sent me a text and gave me a schedule for next week. Two tours on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, with one tour on Thursday. I have a Doctor’s appointment on Wednesday with the lab early on Monday morning, so it will be a busy week for me. I also plan to attend Colby’s Baseball practice on Tuesday evening.
There will be much more to write about as our time here goes on, but right now we are so tired that this is all I’m going to say for this day.
Life is Good!
