Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

We slept great last night and enjoyed our coffee after I showered and dressed for the day this morning. We visited with neighbors who are also here for maintenance on their RV’s until Slade arrived to move us into the shop.

Inside the shop he replaced two brake lights, painted the king pin hitch, and did quite a bit of caulking on our RV.

It was 2:30 in the afternoon by the time the work was finished and I had paid the bill.

By this time Slade had moved us back into a parking space for the night. Now we plan to leave first thing in the morning and drive all the way to Topeka where we will spend several nights at Deer Creek RV Park.

Marilyn & I spent our day with trivial things like having a good breakfast at “Huddles”, reading, relaxing in the shade, and a drive out to KFC in the afternoon. We brought fried chicken and several side dishes back to the RV for dinner.

So now, in addition to the items listed above, we have four new wheel bearings, a new slide topper awning, and a new TV antenna. The RV is ready to go and so are we.

As usual, Slade & Alicia here at Rolling Retreats have done a great job. I have only the highest of praise for these good people and the work they do for their customers. Unless forced to do so, I would never give my business to any other RV dealer.

Marilyn & I will be faced with a seven hour drive tomorrow, in order to be in Topeka for a few days rest before we move on to Hannibal on Friday.

Then it will be lots of hugs and activity as we spend time with the grandkids.
