Roman theater

The harbor

Today we took a walking tour in Cartagena. We stopped at a Roman theater where plays were performed. It has a stage and half an oval of seats seating 7,000 patrons of the arts. It differs from a Roman ampitheater, like the the Colloseum, which is a complete enclosed oval where spectator events occurred, such as gladiator matches. We also toured a fortress used to defend the city. The guide was lacking and departed little knowledge. All in all, not our favorite port. It was not as charming as Malaga was.
