Home at Boulder City Elks for the week

We left Tehachapi shortly after 8:00 this morning. The Tehachapi Mtns were mostly covered with clouds. It was a little breezy but it was pushing us & not a problem - helped the fuel mileage.

We enjoyed the trip across the Mojave desert. The desert mountains & Joshua trees are always interesting to us & there were still wildflowers & bushes blooming in the desert. The wind turbine installations have increased just since we were thru here last October & there were some really huge solar installations near Barstow & close to the CA/NV state line on Hwy 15.

When we turned off 15 coming into Las Vegas the wind hit us in the side & then we were facing it going into Boulder City but it wasn't too much of a problem. We were at the Elks Lodge in Boulder City around 1:30 & all set up by 2:00. It was in the 80s here today - first time we've used the A/C since last fall in Bishop.

We're looking forward to visiting with friends Larry & Lee Ann and to doing a little sightseeing in the area. We'll be here until Friday so ... more later...
