B. B. King

Elvis

Campground at Montgomery Bell

Trees Everywhere

Tennessee is certainly a beautiful state--at least what little we could see of it through the rain. There are an astonishing number of 18-wheelers on the Interstates, and they kick up a tremendous amount of water. Makes it very difficult to see much of anything!

We stopped at a welcome center in Memphis and picked up a Tennessee map and some other bits of information. Sam got photos of the two bronze statues that were in the lobby: Elvis and B. B. King.

This park is heavily forested--would be a great place to come if the weather were hot; there would certainly be lots of shade. We don't quite have the place to ourselves, but we don't have a close "neighbor" either.

Sunday morning, of course, is not a good time to try to get to art galleries, but maybe at Nashville tomorrow. Hope springs eternal.
