We faced a busy day today and I wanted to get started on several jobs outdoors.
Steve & Cathy were leaving this morning so we drove to the resort next door to say “So Long” and wish them safe travels.
Then, I needed to call Buckhorn RV Resort in Kerrville to see if we could arrive sooner than previously scheduled. We have decided to leave here four days earlier than planned. It won’t get us back to Hannibal any sooner because we are having work done on the RV, but we will have more time in Kerrville.
I drove off to get a much needed haircut and then took Marilyn’s car to the car wash. When I arrived back at the RV I started trimming the olive tree behind our patio. The branches hang over the fence and the vines growing on the fence become twisted in the branches of the tree. I spent much of the day trimming tree branches and vines. It all looks quite neat after I finished.
Marilyn fixed a nice lunch before I was finished so I took a break and then went back out after lunch.
Once my work was completed, I carried the debris to the street where it will be picked up, then put tools away and was ready for a shower.
After my shower, I spent the remainder of the day working on my latest book. I am close to having it ready to format for publication. One or two more days of labor and it will be ready.
We’ll start making the coach house ready for the summer pretty soon. We feel our time here growing short. Our weather here remains awesome. Today the temperature was in the upper 70’s with low humidity and a nice breeze. It’s just beautiful.
We heard from friends today. Denny & Jackie are in Kerrville now, having fun exploring some of the places we told them about, Steve & Cathy arrived safely in Victoria and will be continuing their journey. Heard from Eddie & Jan in Waco and we hope to see them before too long.
