By the time we had finished off our morning coffee this morning, we were too late to get ready for the 9:00 o’clock Mass.
We decided to get a bite to eat and then get ready for church and attend the 10:30 Mass. That worked just fine.
When we returned home it was time for lunch so we quickly changed our clothing and were ready to have lunch. Marilyn fixed some fish and side dishes for our one regular meal for the day. We try to eat only one meal each day and to snack when we get hungry. That may or may not be a good idea but that is what we’re doing.
After lunch I went out to finish sealing the boards for our furniture. I also drove to the store, stopping to fuel the car, picked up a few groceries, and returned home to watch some of the March Madness.
Marilyn & I sat outdoors for a while in the late afternoon, sitting with a cold drink on a hot afternoon. We moved our chairs into the full shade wishing the breeze was a little stronger and blowing right on us.
We finally went back inside to the comfort of the air conditioning.
Our mornings and evenings here are awesome but in the middle of the day, the bright sunshine warms things into the “Too Hot” range.
We have noticed many RV’s leaving the park next door, and now some of our folks here at Retama are also leaving.
Several left yesterday morning and some of our friends are leaving tomorrow. Father Roy, at Mass this morning, asked how many winter Texans were leaving before Palm Sunday and many hands were raised. He wished everyone safe travels and then played “Happy Trails” for all who were leaving.
We too, will be leaving before long, and we already look forward to our return next fall.
