Talk about Chamber of Commerce weather, this is it. Hot sunny days with a slight breeze, cool clear nights with a bright moon shining, and a wildflower "superbloom"; it just doesn't get any better than this. The only problem is the "locals" have to get out early on a week day to enjoy it because little Borrego Springs is overwhelmed with tourists. I've heard the NY Times had a reporter here last Sunday and it's been on the national news. Here's the local newspaper's perspective: http://www.borregosun.com/

Yesterday the tennis club group was unable to do their usual Wednesday evening taco night at Pablito's because the restaurant told them they were out of food and their staff was exhausted. Everyone is girding their loins for the week end which is expected to be just as bad, if not worse, than last week end because of the annual "Circle of Art" show and sale. Susan and I are volunteering. We will be checking in artists tomorrow afternoon and helping to feed them on Saturday morning.

Anyhoo, on Monday morning I wandered in the desert at 6:15 am to enjoy to moon. Yesterday Susan organized a beautiful 4-mile hike from the tennis center into the state park. It was like walking into a calendar! I might have gotten a little carried away taking pictures, but Jennifer told me to take a bajillion and I am trying not to disappoint her.

On Tuesday Susan and I did a road trip to the town of Ramona to take Tessa to the groomer. The drive was so beautiful, green, green, green with bright patches of California Poppies and a bright red-fuschia shrub dotting the landscape. We did some much needed food shopping and had a yummy breakfast at Kountry Kitchen. I forgot to take a picture of my Veggie Benedict because I inhaled it so fast.
