Similar to many who enjoy the full-time RV lifestyle, we have bicycles to ride when we are here in the Valley for the winter. Marilyn & I leave our bikes here at our winter home when we are gone from here, choosing not to carry the bikes to Colorado or to Missouri because we wouldn’t ride them there.
Today, I moved the bikes out of the storage shed, aired the tires, lubed the chain and bearings, and adjusted the gears and brakes. Now both bikes are ready to go.
I had just finished with the bikes and went inside to clean up and grab a bite to eat. Marilyn & I shared several burritos and some carbonated, flavored water, even though it wasn’t even lunchtime yet.
We had just finished our tasty goodies when the phone rang. It was our friends, Dennis & Jackie, asking us to join them at Riverside Club for lunch. We explained that we had just finished eating but would join them anyway.
These good folks picked us up and we drove off while chatting and “catching up” on things since the last time we visited, which was last winter.
We lingered long after our lunch was finished, just visiting, laughing and having a good time together. When we left the restaurant, Dennis & Jackie took us to their winter home at Hidden Valley RV Park, and showed us their beautiful RV.
As we sat together, Dennis kept us laughing as he related several storied of his adventures with woodworking projects. Hint: He is much better than he thinks at building things from pieces of wood.
It sure was nice to see these friends again and we always enjoy any time we spend in their company. In fact, we are going to Mexico together tomorrow, along with several other friends.
