The Capper Nomads Europe Adventure travel blog

Up to now we had been covering areas we had visited before last winter. Today we moved south to just north of Aguilas. It wasn’t a long journey. The Quinta Bella campground was located in a wide green valley which is one of the driest area in Spain. However, by the state of the road to the campground it was hard to believe as there was soil run off on the road. We discovered that the night before they had a horrendous rain storm – the first rain they had had for some time.

We passed miles upon miles of polytunnels used to grow tomatoes, and extensive acreages of lettuce, orange trees and vines.

Compared to the large impersonal campground awe had come from this was lovely a peaceful with large sites and very friendly owners.
