Mimicing the Joshua stance

on the way to Josh trees

We went up from Palm Desert to see the Joshua Tree National Park... ahhh the senior pass strikes again. I was quite interesting, probably the least interesting were the Joshua Tree which aren't actually trees at all but a type of cactus. Named Joshua trees because they appear to resemble biblical painting of Joshua. Near the San Andreous fault the rock formations provide a unique sight seeing experience and a great practice ground for rock climbers. Another highlight was the Kelly View overlooking the Cochella Valley. As most days the view was somewhat obstructed by the smog blown in from LA.
