The Mothership is in the backyard, locked and loaded, ready for our departure tomorrow morning. The newspaper has been stopped, the mail forwarded and the credit card companies notified of our plans. We spent the weekend loading final items and getting the house all cleaned up for our return - we hate coming home to a dirty house! We moved into the Mothership Friday night and that has made getting her and the house ready for our trip much easier - why didn't we think to do this years ago?
We are heading for Marianna, FL tomorrow and will spend two nights there as we slowly head up to NW Alabama and the Mothership's birthplace, Red Bay to get the front repainted and new Diamond Shield applied. We will spend about two weeks there before heading back east across the Smokies to the Waynesville, NC area. Our reservation there begins on May 1.
