Our coffee tasted extra fine this morning as we sat in front of the fireplace. Outdoors, it was cool and raining so the fireplace made it very comfortable.
Steve & Cathy drove up right at 8:15 to pick us up for the drive to San Juan and the Basilica, where we were going to Mass this morning. The Priest honored all of the veterans this morning by asking them to come forward for a group picture. There were a large number of Vets for sure.
After Mass we drove to one of our favorite breakfast places, Diaz Diner #2, where we enjoyed a very tasty meal. Three of us had the huevos rancheros with some full blown hot salsa. That made my mouth water first, and then it made my eyes water. LOL
Marilyn & I were quick to change into our PJ’s once we arrived back home. We then spent the remainder of the afternoon watching football on TV.
For dinner, Marilyn baked another batch of cornbread and served it up with the left-over ham & beans. Once again, that was really good.
The light rain which had lingered all day, stopped later in the afternoon but the cloudy overcast sky stuck around, making things look gloomy. We didn’t mind, we just enjoyed our books and the TV on a rainy day. Perfect!!
I had hoped to be able to see the “Super Moon” tonight, when the moon is closest to the earth, but it appears I may have to wait until tomorrow morning or even until the evening tomorrow.
