Happy Birthday to me! I slept in on my birthday this morning. Was up by 8am though as we had plans to meet some new friends - Steven and Claire from Scotland - this morning at 10am to go see the big KLM 747 land at the Princess Juliana airport. We met this cute couple several days ago and enjoyed spending some time with them, so we asked them to join us to go see the airplanes land. We ate lunch at Sunset Beach Bar and Grill and then decided to spend the rest of the day together touring the island. Since we had a car and they didn't, we played tour guide. It was a fun way to spend our last day on the island!

After we left Sunset Beach, we headed over to Mullet Bay Beach and walked in the sand and water for a little bit. Then we rode on over to the French side and gave them the grand tour of Marigot before heading to Friar's Bay beach. We love this beach - of course there are 37 public beaches on the island and most all of them are pretty. After we left Friar's Bay, we rode over to Grand Case and then around the north part of the island to Orient Beach. Orient Beach is one of the prettiest beaches in the world, and they also allow nudity. So there you have it. We saw a few topless women, but no bottomless men. Just doesn't seem fair, does it? haha We went to Coco Beach, mainly so I could get my picture made by "my" beach. That is also where I found a couple more cute bathroom signs. We walked on Orient Beach for quite a while - just admiring the views of the water, sand and pretty beach umbrellas.

Then we rode through Philipsburg, Cole Bay and over to the Treaty Site to take some pictures of Steven and Claire. Then it was back across the new bridge and to the resort. Quick change into our bathing suits and we were into the pool for an hour or so. Beautiful sunset tonight - the prettiest one since we have been here. Tomorrow we leave around 2pm heading home to the USA. We'll miss St. Maarten - it truly is a Paradise!
