We were beat last night but watched TV until 10:00. I then went to bed to read for a short time before turning out the light. Marilyn said that she went to bed around 11:00 but I was sound asleep by that time.
We were awake by 7:00 this morning and remained inside until it became light enough outdoors to sit out there with our coffee. I did make a quick run into town to pick up a dozen donuts which we shared with Steve & Cathy as we sat outdoors sipping coffee.
A bit later, Steve rode with me to fuel the truck and then we stopped at “Gibson’s” hardware store where Steve and I each made a small purchase.
By the time we returned to the RV Park, it was time for lunch, so Marilyn & I ate a lite lunch together. By this time the sun was shining brightly and I felt sleepy, so I closed my eyes for a few minutes while relaxing in the recliner.
I heard Steve outdoors working to get ready for our trip tomorrow to Mission, in the Rio Grande Valley. That inspired me to go outdoors and get started with my own chores. I dumped the holding tanks and then stowed the sewer hose for travel. Next, I hooked the car to the fifth wheel and it is now ready to be towed. Next, I backed the truck up to the RV and hitched up for our trip tomorrow.
Now, the only items remaining for morning are the normal, last minute items before we head off toward our winter home.
It sure will be nice to be settled down at our winter home in Retama Village. Hopefully, I won’t be too tired to write the blog tomorrow night. LOL
One thing for sure is that we love being in the Rio Grande Valley for six months.
Life is Good!
