|After another yummy breakfast of fresh pastries, it was time to go. We walked to the Market Square to get a taxi but of course there were none to be found at the rank. After waiting for nearly half an hour, one finally came and took us took the station. We found a ticket offIce and changed our tickers to take us straight to the airport rather than changing trains in Brussells, a much better idea. After all that was sorted we had time to try a belgium waffle and hot chocolate before getting on the train.
Arrrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare but it took us a little while to get rid of our luggage as we had to do the booking ourself, attach the luggage label and send our cases on their way and pray we had done It right and our cases would be In Berlin with us......they were so must have done something right.
Just sat and read waiting for our plane which was a little late leave but with only a flight of just over an hour, it wasn't too bad. Arrived in Berlin, walked out to get a taxi which took about 30 seconds, they had so many waiting. The taxi driver dropped is off at the address I had, which turned out to be the office address and our apartment was in their "other" site about 150 metres away. Erik, the check in guy came to where we were waiting and walked us back to our apartment. Shock was probably the best way to describe what we were shown to. Nothing like the photos on booking.com who will be getting an email from us as soon as we are home. Anyway, it was what it was and we went back to where the taxi driver had dropped us off for a pizza and red wine for dinner. Great Pizza, cheap and the litre of house wine was good too and didn't last very long, we were all so pi***d off.
After dinner we walked back to the local supermarket to get some bread and milk and more wine. Eating seems very cheap in Berlin. It was then back to the apartment to work out tomorrow's plan of attack......Hamburg for Miniture World.
