ON THE ROAD AGAIN travel blog

October has finally arrived and the balloons are here. Lots of Balloons !!!

Today starts the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. For those of you that have never been there, it's a event that you will remember the rest of your life and it's the most photographed event in the world. The event will last until the end of next weekend and will have to wait until after to find out how many burrito's were sold and all the other statistics.

Only 7 more work days left and since October is here it seems that our departure is close as we will leave on the 11th and should arrive back at our winter home on the 15th. I checked Weather Channel on the PC this morning and the temps should be in the high 80's when we get there. That's my kind of weather. The day time temps here have been nice but the overnight lows are a bit too cold for me.

I've had to get some repairs on the Jeep and F550 over that past couple weeks and since then either a squirrel or a Packrat chewed the hose that runs to my Banks Exhaust Brake. I planned on just replacing a two foot piece of hose but after I bought it I noticed that it had been chewed into two more pieces. Banks put a hose made of silicone on it originally and they sure must love the silicone. I replaced it with a 3/16 fuel line hose but left the silicone hose in several places so it would stay away from my new hose. I also put a rat trap under the hood with the hope of at least giving him a good snap on the nose.

Not much else going on here, no photos to post. I post my photo's on FB when I take them but when our play time starts when we get to Palm Springs I'm sure I'll be posting more here and with some photos so stay tuned.....
