Larry & Lee Ann's Journey 2 travel blog

Today I'm going to share a few more pics taken this past Friday at the Flaming Gorge. If you read the previous post dated September 26th, you already know more than you ever thought you would about this Gorge, lol! So, I'll just add one short paragraph about it.

This recreation area in southwestern Wyoming and eastern Utah comprises some 201,000 acres of scenic land surrounding the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The reservoir, fed by the waters of the Green River, is 91 miles long with approximately 375 miles of shoreline ranging from low flats to cliffs more than 1,500 feet high. It is spectacular!

Today the sun was dancing in and out of the clouds & there were plenty of them ranging from snow white to black as coal! It seemed like around every bend the colors & lighting changed. We got a light rain for a few minutes but not enough to affect anything. Suits me, the colors are more vivid when they are wet so I like a sprinkle when we're out in nature!

Well, that's it for today. I hope you enjoyed our little day trip and if you are ever traveling I-80 between Green River & Rock Springs, Wyoming we highly recommend you take the time to see this natural wonder. It's impressive & beautiful!!!
