2016 Finally on the road again travel blog

Southern California

Nothing but scrub and solar panels

And wind turbines

Then we get into the mountains

We are back in California, sand and scrub brush. Temps should head back up today.

We have been Lucky, fuel prices have remained low, average is $2.30 with a lot lately at $2.19. We have been able to utilize Thousand Trails occasionally and Passport America parks for 1/2 price. Also Good Sam for a 10% discount.

Mike's GPS picks out a route and really gets fussy when you deviate from it. She is from 2013 and there has been construction in every state so she gets very confused at times.

We are currently on I-8 and it is under construction for miles. Mikes's gps thinks we should be on the old road. I guess I need to figure out how to update her.

We are at the Thousand Trails reserve in Jamul, California. It is in the middle of nowhere and only 30 amps. At least that will run 1 AC.

Taking time today to reorganize the cupboards, will start sightseeing tomorrow.
