Bozeman is only fifteen miles from the national at the site of the Battle of the Little Big Horn. It was an easy drive on I-90 to get there.
Today was sunny and warm as we made the drive to the monument. We spent most of our time listening to a ranger talk and a visitor center movie. Both were interesting and underscored for me that Custer was not very bright.
We walked up the hill to the site of Custer's last stand where the last 41 cavalry men were killed. We also took some time to visit the national cemetery that, while not related to the battle, is located adjacent to the monument.
It was an informative visit.
