Cloister walk

The Parador

Leon Cathedral

Leon Cathedtsl - altar

Choir seat for bad monks - pig playing harp

This entry was for Thursday , but did not post:

The Parador has been a monastery, a hospital, a prison and now an incredible hotel. Upon entering the Cloister walk, you feel as though the guardian statutes are halting both time and all earthly concerns, as they offer you a a more lasting tranquility. Met all in my group- I'm not the oldest, but it remains to be seen as to whether I am the least in shape for the walk. Wonderfully diverse, kind group of interesting people. I am glad to be here.

I have quite a few photos of Csthedral interior but none that do justice to the artists and craftsmen. The oldest and best windows are 13th century when people were " paid in food", so it was desirable to take as many years as you liked to complete a task - as long as you work, you are fed...

Lots of wine ... Duck confit was main course. Trav you need to perfect that recipe for home❤️
