|After considerable last minute apprehension about the logistics of this journey, everything went so smoothly it ifeels almost as though I am supposed to be here... Really.
Emily got me to the airport in record time, Only 2 people in line ahead of me at TSA check, my seat mate in the plane over was a Georgia tech grad ( 2005) now head of R&D for some large tech company (Bob - he remembered The SAE " difficulty" on campus), got myself to the proper train ( with only 3 x to information desk), settled into lovely accommodations & took a walk. Listening to Celtic music playing in some square nearby with my windows open , afternoon sun drifting into my bed.
Going to the " pilgrim's mass" here at the monastery in a few minutes, while I wait for first available dinner serving at 7:30. Then crashing finally.
For those with faith, or looking for it, there are few coincidences in life.... I was supposed to be here last May instead of now, but this last weekend would have been our twenty-second anniversary, and tomorrow, the first day that I meet my group, will be fifteen years to the day that Clinton & I first came to Europe. He would have loved the " hamon" bar...
