Cinque Terre

Sarah, Anna and I met up with a few other people from the school group bright and early yesterday for a day trip to the area above Pisa called Cinque Terre. It is a group of five tiny little seaside towns, and you hike along gorgeous trails by the ocean to get from one to the next. It was beautiful! I am so glad we went, although I feel like I'll never walk again! We couldn't even bring ourselves to walk to the fifth town. We stopped at the fourth and did a little shopping. It got chilly as the sun went down, and somewhere along the way I managed to lose my sweater, so I had to buy a long-sleeved Cinque Terre souvenir t-shirt. Half of the group went home, but the other half of us stayed for a few more hours so that we could get dinner. I was tired, but I really wanted to get some seafood while we were right next to the sea. Cal and I shared prawns(which he had to clean for me) and some grilled catch of the day, which were both fabulous!

I think we'll have to take it easy today (which isn't hard, since everything is closed here on Sundays, anyway). We all have plenty of homework to do, too.
