Camp site at Crooked Creek

Wild Blueberries

Blueberry stained fingers

August 14th

We only ventured 56 kms today which is almost like not going anywhere! Made it to Crooked River Campground and decided it was too nice to pass up. Besides everyone was leaving at the end of the weekend and we had our choice of spots. Another gorgeous camp site on the lake...lots of blueberries for the picking. Trees are bigger now that we are in the southern half of the province and every day they are turning fall colours. We arrived in Prince George to file this update and get some groceries. The temperature has been consistently warmer the last couple of days and it looks like we will get better weather as we head south towards Valemont and through the southern Rockies. The last time we did this stretch of hwy was in the middle of the 80's with my Mother and Father crammed into our little Toyota for 10 days. I'm sure they had fun!
