|Of course breakfast at the hotel to start the day! Boarding the bus we took a 5 hour tour of Prince Edward Island with a local guide. Touring first the town then to the other side of the island to the beach where the sand is a beige color and never sticks to your feet. We tried it out by taking off our shoes and dipping our feet in the cold water of the Gulf of St Lawrence. Yes the sand did not stick!!!! Cavendish was the beach. Next we visited "Green Gables Farmhouse". This is a National Historic site of Canada. L M Montgomery was the writer of Anne of Green Gables book. This was the house where she lived half of her life. and also where she lived when she wrote the book. Boarding the bus our next stop was at a marina where we enjoyed a talk on how they catch Lobster. Last stop was Prince Edward Island Preserve Co. We shopped here and I had a rum raisin (raisins soaked in rum) ice cream cone and Irma had strawberry. Back to our hotel to stroll along the streets of Charlottetown then grabbed a bite to eat at a cafe cross the street from the hotel. Shared Fish and Chips Again!! Then off to the musical Anne of Green Gables stopping along the way to listen to Jazz. The musical was extremely delightful and the girl playing Anne was just Great!! I rate the musical 5 stars!!!
