|On Day 6 we headed to Trinidad. It is also a World Heritage City and was founded in 1514. Trinidad is cobble stoned and quaint. It really has an old world charm about it. We did a city walking tour and peeked into a Catholic Church service in the center of town. I don't equate a strong religious presence with communism but religion is alive and well in Cuba. We continued on to an all inclusive beach resort to spend the night. Americans are not supposed to go the beach when in Cuba, we are only supposed to visit Cuba using one of the twelve allowed licences (journalism, research, etc.) However, the resort was the only one in the area that could house our group so we went to the beach. It was a huge disappointment as the water was dirty and the resort was a one star at best. Unfortunately, I was not feeling well so I missed the opportunity to take pictures there. Also, we were not supposed to take pictures on the beach.
