Lunch at "Crackin' Crab"
Jul 23, 2016
|Marilyn & I shared our coffee outdoors on another beautiful morning. We then finished our usual morning chores and then walked over to the main office for the continental breakfast they offer daily.
It was pretty poor as breakfasts go. Bread for toast, bagels (not fresh) hard boiled eggs, dry cereal, coffee (Marilyn couldn’t drink hers) orange juice (tasted as if it had been watered down), and a pastry they had cut into smaller pieces. No more of that for me!
We walked back to the RV where I disconnected the car from the RV, so that we could drive to a restaurant we had selected for lunch today.
We left the RV Park at 11:30 with Eddie & Jan riding along, and drove to a place we heard about from our friend, Mike Mills.
Who would suspect that a good seafood restaurant would be found in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Well, if you are ever here you should try the “Crackin’ Crab”.
Marilyn & I shared a Seafood Boil with Blue Crabs, Cherry Stone Clams, Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, and Sausage. The whole thing had been cooked in a “Medium Hot Crackin’ Sauce”, and every bite was delicious!
Poor Eddie, who has a problem with Shell fish, ordered the Fried Catfish plate but informed us that it was terribly disappointing.
We felt bad about that but Eddie was a good sport about the whole thing.
Back at the RV we relaxed in the 100 degree heat, remaining indoors with the A/C running.
Tomorrow we are driving up to Santa Fe to spend a couple of days before moving on to Raton Pass, and then to Mountaindale RV Resort in Colorado Springs.
