Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Marilyn & I were up early this morning, thinking about the fact that our friends, Eddie & Jan, were leaving this morning, heading east to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

They hope to get their RV into the shop to have a new awning installed before we all leave on Sunday.

Marilyn & I finished our coffee before beginning the chore of preparation for the road. We kept an eye on our friends but didn’t want to interrupt their routine. We waited until they had finished and were ready to go, and then we exchanged hugs and wishes for safe travel, with promises to get together tomorrow in Albuquerque.

Marilyn and waved “so long” to our friends and then left to fuel the truck for our journey tomorrow.

As soon as we had the truck fueled up we drove it back to the RV Park and then took the car for a drive to the Walmart store, where we picked up a couple of plastic tubs and a few groceries.

Back at the RV we relaxed, ate some lunch, and watched some TV. Tomorrow morning we’ll dump the tanks, roll up the sewer hose, the Cable TV coax, Water hose, and Electric power cable. We’ll be ready to go shortly after those chores are complete.

We hope to be on the road by 7:00 in the hope that we will arrive at “American RV Park” by 2:30 PM New Mexico time. Hopefully, Eddie & Jan will have their RV back and be all set up in the same park by the time we arrive.

Marilyn fixed a nice dinner for us and it was time to settle down.

We hate to leave this wonderful RV park but have to admit that it will be nice to get on the road to Colorado. We are anxious to see our friends who are already there.
