Getting Ready For The Road
Jul 20, 2016
|The neighbor on the door side of us walked over to chat for a few minutes while we were outdoors sipping our morning coffee today. His name is Bill and he is from a tiny little town near our home town of Monroe City in Missouri.
Bill worked for “Morman’s” in Quincy, Il and knows some of the same people we are friends with back home.
Once Bill and his wife left to visit the Grand Canyon today, Marilyn & I joined Eddie & Jan for our last breakfast together here in Flagstaff. Of course we chose to make another visit to our favorite Mexican restaurant called “MarTanne’s”, where the pork green chili is just fantastic!
After that delicious and hearty breakfast we all returned to the RV where we began getting the RV’s ready for travel.
The air compressor served us well in airing tires and the air ride system. We stowed our outdoor items, took up the outdoor carpet, put the grill away, and repacked a few items.
I discovered that I need to pick up a couple of the plastic tubs to store a few items for travel and I’ll do that tomorrow when I take the truck to top off the fuel tank.
Eddie & Jan are leaving tomorrow morning, headed to Albuquerque where we will join them on Friday. They are having some work done on their RV so they needed the extra day to visit Camping World.
We plan to arrive at our normal summer home, Mountaindale Cabins & RV Park, near Colorado Springs, next Wednesday.
It will be nice to see our RV friends again.
Knowing that Eddie & Jan would be watching the Convention this evening, Marilyn popped some popcorn and I took a large container of that over to our friends.
Tonight, Marilyn will be watching the Republican Convention from her recliner in the living room while I watch Duck Dynasty from the comfort of our bedroom. Hope I don’t fall asleep. LOL
