Alaska...Again 2016 travel blog

Day 8. Lions Club Campground. The very least aesthetically pleasing campground. A lot of young workers. Lots of junk around (deserted busses, etc). However it is the most level campground of any we've stayed in! Drive started out very boring, but once we got to the Deh Cho Route it became more interesting.... ish. Passed1 town with a pop. of 40 that had a 5 star golf course. Next town held Canada's largest honey producer at 5 million lbs annually. Then the next town of pop 362 had a ball diamond, tennis courts, and a curling rink among other things. Also a campground with 6 sites. I wonder if they're ever full. The town of Peace River has a pop of 6,240 . An historic tour of town includes a statue of 12 Foot Davis a gold miner who struck it rich on a 12 foot claim between 2 larger claims. The right place at the right time. There were a lot of yellow fields as far as you could see of plants about 18 inches high. Was told it was canola.
