A very quiet day at Mt Hay.
Our coldest morning so far, so didn't rise very early. The day was perfect again, with our neighbours on both sides packed up and moved on.
Quite a lot of fossickers turned up and tried their digging skills. Most left with big bags of rocks!
Had a chat to a nice young couple with two children from Rockhampton. Chatted to them about Cobbald Gorge where they had been with a church youth camp. The dads organised the camp while the mothers relaxed with their own activities. Their children really enjoyed the fossicking, even finding big rocks to take home for the garden!
We relaxed most of the day with a couple of walks, some reading and some craft.
Don thinks he might give the digging a try tomorrow. There are some pretty thunder eggs here when they are cut.
It doesn't feel quite so cold tonight, but maybe we are just a bit more acclimatized.
