|After Niagara falls we went to Niagara on the Lake. Just so beautiful. Said Hi to Lil's friend Petra who owns a furniture store there. Drove to London and through it quickly, had no reason to stop but it started to pour, really hard and we got a campsite at Port Glasgow but neither the owner or us wanted to get out in the rain so we sat in the truck for 45 minutes waiting for the rain to stop. Walked down to the lake Erie after supper and found lots of fossils. Friday we went to point Pelee and it was epic. Most southern point in Canada. Spent most of the day there and went to my cousin Barry and his wife Ruth's place for dinner and then a drive around town and ice cream and visiting and late to bed in the driveway. I am so glad we went there. Had such a good visit and renewed our family ties. Saturday we made it through Detroit without any problems and drove up to Bay City. We were looking for the Rollers but they were not there. Neither were any stars from the soap opera Another World. Had a nice ice cream and drove north to Tawas State park and camped there for the night. Lots of new birds to see and hear and more fossils on the beach. This morning we decided to stop at every other beach to wander and swim and collect rocks. The water was frigid but refreshing. It is very hot and humid today. Rogers City has the largest open quarry and it is nearly as amazing as Grand Canyon. Now we are in Cheboygan and will go to Mackinaw City over the 5 mile bridge tomorrow. All is well.Kids phoned today for Fathers day and we talked to the lovies.
