Suva museum

At the beach

Pacific Harbour

Our first port day- Suva on the main island of Fiji. The weather was beautiful at about 25 degrees. Suva was just a small, plain town. We hired a taxi and went to the museum and gardens.

Our taxi driver recommended the local waterfalls so we headed out for a walk. The poor guy ended up sending a search party out for us as we got a bit lost when the trail signs disappeared! Over an hour later we ended up 5km up the road in the next village, dripping with sweat and wondering if the black and red spiders were poisonous. Phill persuaded another taxi to take him back to our guy while we sat and watched a mongoose and some cool parrots.

Back to the ship for lunch and to grab our swim stuff and a lovely drive out to the beach for a wander. The kids swam at the pool too.
