The dessert and after dinner digestif menus

What can I say... It was a very wet day. We set off in the rain and it just got heavier. Out on our shoe protectors (VeloToze ) and they were great with keeping shoes and feet dry. At one stage we had to wait in a bus shelter for about 30min until the rain eased. Leanne took the opportunity for a tea in a nearby cafe. Again followed the Doubs or its canals for most of the day. Although there were some short steep climbs today. Had a very late picnic lunch in Baume les Dames on the terrace of a canal boat stop restaurant. Chatted to some German motor cyclists also trying to avoid the weather for awhile.

Nice chambres D'Hotes who provided a drying room and hot tea! Lovely dinner in a local restaurant but had to call in at a truck stop on way back to shelter from rain. It was FULL of truck drivers!!
