Our Last Day in Hannibal
Jun 7, 2016
|Last night I posted the journal before we left to watch our grandson, Colby, play baseball.
The game was quite good. Colby batted four times, getting two singles, a double, and a triple, knocking in five or six runs. He also made a terrific catch of a line drive behind first base. We were rightly proud of him.
This morning we continued our preparations for leaving here tomorrow morning. Marilyn cleaned inside the RV and stowed the knick knacks for travel, while I went outdoors to stow things in the basement and dump the holding tanks.
I then left to take the truck to the car wash and fuel it up at $2.06 per gallon for diesel.
Marilyn went to get her hair cut and shop for a few needed items at Walmart.
As soon as she returned I took the car to have it washed and then fueled it also.
I was surprised when I had a message from a long-time reader of our blog, advising me that he wanted to purchase my book but did not know the title of the book nor my last name, so he was unable to find it. This blog and my Facebook page are the only means of advertising my book so I feel some chagrin at not putting that information on here.
The title of the book is MY JOURNEY TO THE CLOUDS and my last name is Dray. Sure sorry for not including that information before now.
I also made a couple of mistakes with the Barnes & Noble folks. I forgot to price the book and forgot to push the “Publish Button”.
I am still new to this entire process but am learning as we go.
Jennifer and the kids drove in around noon and stayed until we all left for a drive to Quincy, Illinois, to meet our son-in-law and share dinner at the Chinese Buffet. We’ll miss our family after we leave and that is the hard part of this RV lifestyle.
We hope to be on the road by 8:00 tomorrow morning.
Life is Good!
