This morning we packed up, hooked up, and headed north on I-15. It was a moderate length drive of about 220 miles. The first thirty miles kept us in city traffic with the snow-capped Wassatch Mountains to our right. But when we passed Ogden both the traffic and the landscape changed.
The terrain flattened out into a wide valley that was bordered by lower altitude green mountains. As we crossed the border into Idaho we settled into more than a hundred miles of mostly flat, mostly straight highway. At Idaho Falls we turned right onto U.S. 20 and went northeast toward Rexburg. Thompson's RV Park is conveniently located just off route 20 about eight miles southwest of Rexburg. But construction on 20 forced us to drive an extra 3 miles passed the turn to the campground, find a road across the railroad tracks, and then drive back 3 miles to get there.
We were greeted by the nice lady who, with her husband, is managing the park and led to site 13. We are now set up with a 50-amp full hookup and satellite tv. We will be here for a week.
