The Carousel we were able to see

Our visit with Mac & Dianna and time spent with Julia and family came to an end. Lots of rain while in the area. However, we were able to cook breakfast out Memorial day for our guests. Beautiful morning before the rain started in again later.

Left Lewisville,TX Tuesday morning. A very nice day with NO rain. Seeing diesel fuel prices and unleaded gas prices are running the same amount in a number of stations. We paid $2.04 when filling up today.

Arrived Shreveport, LA early afternoon. Plan for a two nite stay. One evening we went to a recommended seafood restaurant for a delicious dinner. Thursday morning, early, we took off for Meridian, Mississippi in a light rain. However we were happy to see it clear off, in about an hour, for our 325 mile drive.

Very nice RV Park. Want to spend three days here. Met our neighbors, a nice couple from New Mexico. We toured Jimmie Rogers Museum. Quite interesting. "The Father of Country Music." America's Blue Yodeler" / "The Singing Brakeman," which referred to his work on trains. He died at the age of 35 of TB. Also we were able to visit an an old time Carousel. Saturday morning decided to have breakfast at the nearby Cracker Barrel. In the afternoon making preparations to make our way to Georgia.
