|In lieu of our usual annual trip to the California coast each spring, we've opted for something closer to home: A week in Sedona. Although we often do Sedona as a day trip from Fountain Hills, it usually is with winter guests who are experiencing "Red Rock Country" for the first time. Thus, our circuit of activities has been pretty set (i.e., we visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, seek out the vortex at Airport Mesa, have lunch at the Hillside Grill, etc.). This trip is for us, and one on which we plan to visit new places and explore some new things. So we've rented a really nice condo in the Village of Oak Creek, which has a stupendous view of some major (and well known) red rocks. Sitting on our front deck (left-to-right) one sees Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Court House Rock, and Lea Mountain, all in a 180 degree panorama. It's quite a show! And all of this is embedded in the Canyon Mesa Resort/Country Club. So from our deck we also look down on the 7th fairway and green. Life is not bad here.
