I left Marilyn in bed as I dressed and headed for the Clinic this morning. This time I was having blood drawn for a normal annual physical. I had to fast from 8:00 last evening until after the blood work was finished, so I stopped on the way back to the RV for coffee and some breakfast items to take home. Marilyn was up and waiting when I returned home and we shared some breakfast.
It sure is nice to get all of this medical stuff completed while we are here in Hannibal.
Marilyn is doing better every day and the beta blocker meds may make a big difference.
I changed clothing and soon left to give tours at the cave.
When the tour was over I drove back to the RV in the light rain, which continues to hang on since yesterday afternoon.
Marilyn had lunch ready and we ate some of the vegetable beef soup left over. Like most home-made soups it tasted even better after being in the fridge for a day or so.
On this cool, wet, afternoon, it felt good to lounge around in PJ’s with the fireplace for warmth and ambiance.
We have a really busy week ahead of us as we have something on our agenda each day. I’ll let you in on that as we go along.
School is almost out for the summer and we’ll be spending even more time with the grandkids, as ball games and outings begin to dominate our schedule.
We have to squeeze in a lot of fun in the next three weeks, as we will be on the road again just three weeks from tomorrow.
I did make reservations today, for the travel to Flagstaff, AZ.
We plan to stop for a minor repair to the RV in Elk City, OK, before going on to Amarillo, TX.
Life is Good!
