our new view

Back in Lyon we were just in time for today's protest, that apparently was occurring all over France in opposition of the proposed new labour laws. Our tour guide said she was embarrassed by the display. Police were definitely in tight control of the hundreds of people we passed, with roads and bridges closed off at strategic locations. We were delayed by about 30 minutes due to traffic build-up and closures. Not too bad.

Unfortunately we have swapped berth places with the other vessel we were tied up to and our view is their stern lounge. At least it's not someone's bathroom. The vents are not that great though....we're here one more night I think. Not sure if we travel at night after our day in Lyon tomorrow.

The day has warmed up to 20 degrees so our emergency drill on the sundeck was rather pleasant, although not the quickest muster, we were told. Oh well.
