Marilyn & I took our time with coffee this morning. Soft music played from the sound system and the fireplace added ambiance.
Marilyn wanted to go for a walk so we walked together to the Gift Shop. I went to work while Marilyn continued her walk.
I led two tours back to back. Both were school groups and we enjoyed our time in the cave. The students were well behaved and asked intelligent questions.
I finished the tours at 12:00 noon and walked back to the RV.
The RV was filled with a tantalizing aroma of corned beef cooking in the slow cooker. Marilyn was busy cooking the meat but we needed to make a trip to the store to pick up a head of cabbage, and assorted other goodies.
Back at the RV, we cut up the cabbage, potatoes, and a large sweet onion, and then cooked them in a combination of chicken broth and the juice from the corned beef. It is absolutely delicious.
So simple and easy, it makes a wonderful dinner.
We also picked up several snacks for the grandkids. We noticed something new with the grandkids. When it is time to go home, they announce that they are hungry or thirsty, or both. The truth is that they don’t want to leave. LOL
So now we have snacks that they can take with them in the car. That may foil their plot but will help out Mom when she is trying to get them into the car. Let’s see what they come up with next.
I have a feeling that our time here in Hannibal will pass by very quickly and we’ll be on the road again, on the way to Arizona before we know it.
I think it is time for me to put on some PJ’s and relax.
