ON THE ROAD AGAIN travel blog

Our "off" week sure does fly by. It's Sunday already and we have to go to work tomorrow. I can't believe that it went by so fast.

Last night the Albuquerque News was that we were going to get hurricane winds last night with gusts to 75 MPH. I made all the preparations outside so we could pull in our slide outs without any difficulty. When I woke up this morning I could see that a little rain fell last night but I didn't hear any ferocious winds at all. The winds are to continue until tonight so maybe they haven't arrived yet.

It seems as though my allergies have returned the same as they did last year when we arrived here. They say "April showers bring may flowers" but they also bring the weeds and allergies. I've been taking Allegra and Benadryl and it's making it bearable but I sure wish all these weeds and flowers would get it on and be done with it. I'd love to be able to breathe out of my nose again.

This past week the propane company brought us a big propane tank and hooked it up for us. We didn't use the campground propane last year and had to get our own propane bottles filled several times at the beginning and end of the season. Now can stay as warm as we want and don't have to worry about using our electric heaters at all, except maybe at shower time. It's in our contract that they supply propane but we just didn't hassle with it last year for some unknown reason.

Well, it's daylight now and that means I have to get the dogs outside. I just wanted everyone to know that our winds did not arrive and that we survived the so called "Winds from Hell" last night.

Happy Camping,
