After three consecutive days of travel, it was nice to know we could simply take our time this morning.
We shared a pot of coffee and completed a few chores, and then Marilyn & I went for a walk. The air was cool and the sky was overcast. In fact it looked as if it might rain at any moment but the rain stayed away.
The sun appeared around 3:00 PM and soon after that, the sky cleared and the sun shone brightly. We have been watching the forecast and are ready to roll tomorrow morning.
We hope to be on the road again by 8:00 AM and that should put us in Hannibal by 2:00 in the afternoon.
We found a BBQ place for lunch today and brought the food back to the RV. We ate our lunch as we watched an old Peter Sellers movie, “Revenge of the Pink Panther”.
We left the RGV one week ago tomorrow, and we are ready to arrive at our destination and begin “Nesting” again. Marilyn says she is tired of traveling, but I know it won’t be long before she is telling me that she has “Hitch Itch” and is ready to get back on the road. LOL
It will be nice to get with the kids and grandkids for sure.
In addition, we have other family and friends to see again.
It has been raining in Hannibal and I am hopeful that we won’t have to get off the gravel to back into our site.
Well, we’ll see tomorrow when we arrive and then I’ll have something to write about tomorrow evening. LOL
I can hardly wait to give those grandkids a big hug. Darn, we miss them a lot when we are away from them for any length of time.
Now, if all goes well, we’ll be together for the next five weeks.
Life is Good!
