Marilyn & I started early this morning. We shared our usual coffee and then began doing those last minute chores and pulled out of the Buckhorn resort at 10 minutes after 8:00 this morning.
We stopped to fuel the truck at Comanche, Texas, and then followed Texas Hwy 16 north to I-20 where we headed east for about 25 miles, where we joined Hwy 281 north.
It was 1:20 in the afternoon when we pulled in at the really nice Mitchell RV Park.
By 2:15 we were set up, so I left Marilyn to take her shower while I drove a couple of miles to top off the truck with fuel and order a fresh baked pizza to take home.
Marilyn was just getting dressed when I returned home, so we shared our pizza and then I took my turn in the shower.
It was around 4:00 when we had everything finished and it was time to relax. We put on our “comfy clothes” which translates as PJ’s and relaxed with the TV.
We do have internet service here but our cell phone service is very poor. Oh well, we win some and lose some.
Tomorrow we are continuing our journey north, as far as Checotah, Oklahoma.
We plan to spend Friday and Saturday nights in Carthage, MO before going on to Hannibal on Sunday.
We are anxious to see our family and friends. I must add, especially those Grandkids! All of you grandparents will understand exactly what I mean. LOL
