Ted & Julie's Excellent European Vacation 2016 travel blog

This morning we docked in Cadiz, Spain. The second oldest city in Europe, it dates back to Roman times. We took a tour on a hop on, hop off bus and got a great overview of the city: stone walls with gates to the city, cathedrals, beaches, and lively plazas. We ate lunch (a traditional paella dish) outside in a lovely plaza with our new friends Julie and John. A flamenco dancer was busy working the lunch crowd, as was an accordion player. Got to make a living!

We wandered the narrow cobblestone streets and were reminded of Venice. Very easy to get lost. Turns out it was siesta time, so many shops were closed. It didn't matter though, as it was fun window shopping.

Off to Malaga tonight!

By the way, we're having trouble downloading photos with this app.
