As we are crossing back over the International Date Line we had two Fridays this week and because we missed Fanning Island it suddenly feels like a lot of sea days. We arrive next in Rarotonga tomorrow and this is again a tender port so fingers crossed that the seas are a lot calmer than they are right now. Viv and I visited Rarotonga for ten days many years ago on our way back from New Zealand so are quite familiar with parts of it.

Today there was the usual Trivia that was especially busy due to windy, rainy weather that kept many people inside the ship, although the temperature is 26c. This morning’s lecture was on Papeete the capital of Tahiti. More on French Polynesia later. There is a fashion show that Viv has gone to and I will stay quiet and catch up with photos.

I included some photos of the ship so show life on board is comfortable if nothing else.

Sad to say we couldn’t make it into Raratonga so this is becoming a cruise about cruising with all the other good stuff still there just no stops!
