| Saturday & Sunday follow a similar pattern; updating internet, lazing around drinking a few beers & playing pool, and a BBQ (braai). I had to move backpackers within Hermanus for Sat night due to lack of space, and found a very relaxed hostel on the other side of town. One of the other guest bought a snook (1m long local fish) which we all tucked into on the braai. Mid-morning Sunday it's time to Baz-off to Mossel Bay at the start of the Garden Route. Arrive mid-afternoon, and just laze around with a couple of American and another English guy. Ostrich burgers, lamb chops, & chicken go on the fire, and I help one of the yanks cook the mussels he's collected off the beach 200metres away! Beers around the fire til we're tired. Monday was planned for a tandem skydive but low cloud scuppers this. Going for a stroll around the coast, then quad biking this afternoon. Early start tomorrow to check weather. |
