Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

This new time has thrown us off a bit.

We sat together looking out the window at the darkness, waiting for that first hint of daylight before starting the coffee. It was nearly 8:00 before we had enough light to take our coffee outdoors.

Our friend, Bob, walked by and stopped to visit, even though our coffee was gone. He doesn’t drink coffee as a rule so he didn’t mind. We sure enjoyed the time together, chatting and laughing.

About the time Bob left, Cathy drove up in her golf cart, and took Bob’s place in the ongoing conversation.

After Cathy headed off for home in the resort next door, Marilyn & I ate some toast and then completed the chores and headed off to the Post Office in Penitas.

We mailed a box to the Grandkids before making a couple of other stops. One was to fuel the car. We noticed that the price of gasoline has gone up from $1.47 to $1.69.

The second stop was simply to purchase a couple cartons of Blue Bell Ice Cream.

It was noon time before we made it back home, so Marilyn fixed a couple of banana strawberry smoothies for lunch. They were Delicious.

Marilyn had a text message from Ginger asking if we would like to go eat at Macaroni Grill, which happens to be one of my favorite places.

We enjoyed the meal and the company, and then rushed home in time to watch the finale of a TV show called “The Bachelor”.

I did speak on the phone with a friend, Mike Mills, who is now in the process of editing my book. He seems as excited about that as I do, and intends to write an introduction as well.

I asked him to think of a title for the book if he has time, and he said he would do that.

I’ll let you know how this entire process turns out. One thing I know for sure is that Life is Good!
