To continue my previous thought, as I'm writing this on 3 March and trying to catch up on Journal updates for our readers, February turned out to be a fabulous month! We had several visits from friends, some for just a day, others stayed a week or more! As Dave found out when he was in the U.S. Air Force, he would get lots of visitors if he was stationed in an interesting spot, like England. However, when he was stationed in "not so interesting" spots like Grand Forks, ND he didn't get too many visitors. We must be in a doooozy of a spot, as we had several friends stop by to visit!

Our dear friends the Dippels, you remember we visited them in Mount Forest, Ont., Canada, came from their wintering grounds in Sarasota, Florida to stay at our park for a week. They wanted to see the in-famous Quartzsite and drive their Honda Pioneer UTV in the desert. We have wanted to go on a guided trip in the desert with "LEX DESERT TOURS" and we saw this as an opportunity to do so. We rode along with Lex in his UTV and the Dippels got to tag along and enjoyed the route and picture taking ops. The Dippels filled our days with fun and laughter, it was great to see them.

Other friends, the Holleys from Emory, TX, readers will remember our linking up with them about two years ago, when we bought the set of RV steps and deck. Gary Holleys company makes them. The Holleys came by for a weeks stay in the park, but liked the area so much they went out in the desert for a week worth of boondocking. We have enjoyed their company, the card games and the good food we all shared.

We were visited by our good friends the Untalans from Sierra Vista, AZ, though they stayed only a few hours, we were able to get caught up on all the family news. We hope to see them on the road more often in the near term.
