Marilyn & I sat together under the pergola sipping our coffee, with easy listening music playing softly over the outdoor speakers. I glanced over at Marilyn, who wore a big smile on her face, and she said “I’m in my Happy Place”. It felt good to see her so happy.
A bit later, I went to work on several projects. The first was to change out the whole house water filter. With that finished, I called the energy company and set up our account as a new customer for the electricity provider.
Next I called Greg and asked him to ride along as we went to the water department for the city of Mission. We transferred the water, sewer and trash service from Greg’s name to my name. I wrote a check for the $110 deposit and we were all set.
Greg then directed me to the insurance company where he has insurance on the Coach house. I came away from that little effort with our property fully insured.
By the time I arrived back home, I was hungry, as my coffee had worn out its usefulness to my energy level.
Marilyn & I drove to Diaz Diner where we enjoyed a delicious lunch of a Mexican dish we could not pronounce. It was great!!
By this time, all we wanted to do was relax for a bit, but Marilyn wanted to move furniture around under the pergola.
Greg stopped by and showed me how the automatic timer was set for the outdoor lights.
Later, Bob & Janet stopped by and Eddie & Jan followed right behind them. It was nice to sit outdoors with these good friends, snacks and a cold drink.
Over all, it was simply another fine day here in the Rio Grande Valley.
Yep, Life is Good!!
